The five facts that make routing possible
- Who is asking and who else is directly involved
- What changed: a contract, payment, notice, family event or proposed decision
- What outcome or decision needs to be understood now
- Which date matters: signature, payment, meeting, filing or hearing
- What records exist, described at a high level
What to leave out of the first message
Do not send national ID numbers, passwords, bank credentials, full medical or family records, confidential business archives or originals before the receiving channel and scope are confirmed. A first enquiry should help route the question while limiting unnecessary exposure.
What happens after the form
Receipt of an enquiry is not acceptance, legal advice or a lawyer-client relationship. The institution may need to check conflicts, capacity, language, timing and scope before confirming whether the matter can proceed. If it can, responsibility, communication route, fees and deliverables should be confirmed in writing.
